Inside Industry Visit* - Starting the Lean Journey

James H Heal is a world leader in the design and manufacture of textile testing instruments, operating from a three-storey mill in Halifax with 75 employees.

After undertaking a MAS Manufacturing Review, the company embarked upon a Strategic Intervention project.  Andrew worked with the Directors and Senior Managers to develop a growth strategy, and helped them to implement the strategy.

The strategy also identified 4 key areas for improvement.  This led to the company-wide programme of product and process innovation.  Angela worked with a team drawn from across the business to streamline and re-engineer its main processes.

With our help, James H Heal has:

• embarked upon a company-wide programme of Product and Process innovation
