Continuous Improvement in
Difficult Times
a half-day
workshop to be held on
Tuesday, 23 June
2009
Venue to be
advised
8.30am to
12.30pm
The hardest part of “Lean” is keeping the initiative going.
This is particularly true when
management’s attentions are concentrated on
survival and fire-fighting.
The inability to sustain an improvement
culture can be brought about by the
non-engagement of staff; the lack of buy-in that
Lean really makes a difference and the committed
drive by leadership at all levels to keep the
improvement culture alive.
How
do you sustain continuous improvement?
We’ve worked with many varied types of companies with their
improvement programmes – from taking their
first steps towards becoming more efficient; to
developing existing skills and knowledge; to
revitalising flagging improvement projects.
We know and understand the difficulties
involved to keep it going.
A key factor behind successful
improvement programmes is good leadership.
This workshop will focus on developing
the leadership skills required to:
-
get people to
believe in Lean and get involved
-
maintain
management's focus
-
create an
improvement culture
You will understand:
-
why improvement
projects fail
-
why the
leadership role is so important at all
levels
-
the leadership
skills required to succeed
